Corrianne’s main passion is the treatment of patients with upper limb conditions or injuries. She mainly works at her practice in Groenkloof, but also travels to hospitals, step-down facilities and patients’ homes and treats patients there.

She treats patients of all ages with a wide variety of conditions, including hand trauma; burns, fractures, nerve injuries, tendon injuries, Dupuytrens disease, arthritis, congenital anomalies, tumours, carpal tunnel syndrome and any other post-surgical interventions.

All clients are individually assessed and all findings are recorded, so that eventual outcomes can be measured against initial findings, in order to document progress made.

The treatment techniques used range from splinting, joint mobilisation, muscle strengthening; sensibility training; mirror therapy, taping, exercises, crafts, functional activities (Activities of Daily Living), Manual Oedema Mobilisation, wound care and ergonomic advice.

Corrianne regularly attends courses and congresses in South Africa and abroad to ensure that she learns about new treatment techniques as soon as these become available.

She also offers the following services:

  • Medico-legal assessments and reports
  • Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE’s)
  • Hand therapy education and training
